Michaelle has a strong passion for the arts. Putting images and type together lead her to a career in graphic design. She’s been in business since 1995 after obtaining her BFA degree in graphic design from the University of Iowa. She began her career working in the prepress department of a printing company in Des Moines, Iowa. After a few years gaining an understanding and knowledge of the printing process she moved on to a position as graphic designer and then senior graphic designer for a national manufacturing company. This position was part of their corporate communications department. It was in this position where she grew as a designer winning many ADDY Awards for her work as well as getting published for work she did as a freelance graphic designer.
She not only handled graphic design projects for this national company that included logo design, annual reports, brochures, national and local advertising, newsletters, corporate events, etc. but she was also the Printing Coordinator as well as the Photography Director. Coordinating the printing involved a large printing budget, obtaining quotes for printing projects as well as coordinating the proofing, approval, etc. Directing photoshoots involved everything from scouting photoshoot locations, hiring photographers, art direction, photo styling, etc. She stayed in this position for nine years before relocating to the Northwest where she now focuses her time running her own visual communications firm with her husband and partner Jeremy. Her goal is to pleasantly surprise customers with the creativity they’d expect from a larger agency.
Jeremy left engineering in 2012 to assist the family business full-time. He currently handles all the website development, updates, and content management of client’s websites.
Both Jeremy and Michaelle are very much involved in the community donating their time to many non-profits. Michaelle served on the board for the Moses Lake Business Association, the Lioness Club of Moses Lake, Soroptimist International Moses Lake and started a non-profit, Care Moses Lake that helps local non-profits fulfill their missions. Jeremy served on the board for Habitat for Humanity and was involved with the Moses Lake Trails and Planning Commission. Through their business they are able to provide their time and expertise to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin, Serve Moses Lake, Youth Dynamics, Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation, Community Services of Moses Lake, Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center, Forgotten Hero’s Memorial, Grant County Animal Outreach, Moses Lake Public Library Foundation, Power Partners of Grant County, Soroptimist International Moses Lake and Friends of the Moses Lake Dog Park. Every Tuesday evening you’ll find them making 170 sack lunches for those in need, they took on making these lunches in January of 2017 and have solicited local support and volunteers to make it happen every single week.
